Each year we meet up with my in-laws at Lake Martin, north of Auburn AL. They’ve been doing this for around 20 years now, and I just made my 8th trip with them. People do vacations differently. Some want to go to places like Disney and be entertained, but we prefer to go to the middle of nowhere and do next to nothing! I think we all lead pretty busy lives, so getting to unwind with family is our top priority.
We stay at a campground in a trailer, but each morning we pack all our food and stuff for the day, load the boat, and go camp for the day on one particular island. In reality, we look like a bunch of rednecks, but we tip towards that side anyway so it’s of no concern to us. Enjoy.
